Model Portraits at Wissahickon Valley Park

When I first arrived in Philadelphia, my mentor Joe Chielli introduced me to Wissahickon Valley Park and promised that it would become my favorite place. He couldn’t have been more right! Over the years, I’ve explored these woods, hiking and running through its trails. I even dedicated an entire summer to getting lost on purpose, discovering every nook and cranny of this extraordinary place. And in the midst of my explorations, a dream began to take shape – capturing model portraits at Wissahickon Valley Park.

This park is truly enchanting. From the majestic rock formations with trails weaving through them, to the hidden stone sculptures perched atop the hills, and the charming wooden covered bridge, the magic of this place is endless. I could spend hours talking about its allure. It’s a mystery to me why it took me so long to pursue this passion, but this summer, I promise to bring you more.

I have grand visions of featuring some of my favorite brands, like Lululemon, Hoka, and if fate allows, Runners World and Philadelphia Style. My imagination runs wild with endless possibilities. But for now, let me share with you my very first attempt. The model I worked with brought a friend along, and I advised them to wear hiking shoes. Unfortunately, her friend showed up in flip flops, so I couldn’t take us too far into the park. Nevertheless, she was a trooper, going with the flow. But I couldn’t help but imagine myself in those flip flops – it would have been quite the challenge!
