Commercial Pet Product Photography
I was hired by Flow Production and Post company to produce commercial pet product photography for their ad campaign. As an expert commercial photographer it is my responsibility to produce images to show off the product. In some cases, a client will provide an art director for me to work with.
The obvious is to show the lifestyle and the product clearly in each image produced. I had to focus on repositioning the product, which was placed on a collar as a tracking device, and move the dogs long hair out of the way.
There were two dog models, one was a golden retriever and the other a long haired collie. As mentioned above about the repositioning, now you see what I mean. These dogs where both very well trained and by their genetics, calm in nature. When producing images such as these, it is so important to work with a dog model that can follow directions. I was so impressed with how hard these dogs worked throughout the day. They listened and did the same commands over and over till everyone got the footage and myself to capture the moment.
