Picture This: A Memorable Screening

I was invited by TKPR to watch an advanced screening of a movie called “Picture This” at the Philadelphia Film Society East. As a photographer, I was excited to capture the magic of the evening. Initially, I thought of photographing guests in front of the movie poster, a classic approach for such events. However, when I discovered that we had an entire theater to ourselves, I decided to get a bit more creative. Instead of the usual posed shots, I opted to photograph the guests enjoying popcorn, immersed in the cinematic experience as if they were already watching the film. It turned out to be a clever idea that added a unique touch to the series.

“Picture This” follows the journey of a struggling photographer named Pia, who is told she’ll find true love and career success within the next five days. With her sister’s wedding just around the corner and her family playing matchmaker, Pia’s life soon spirals into chaos when her ex unexpectedly reappears. This charming narrative, directed by Prarthana Mohan, promises to resonate with many viewers. The film is set for release on March 6, 2025, and I can already tell it will be a hit!

Before the screening, I had a creative shoot, and I invited the models, the makeup artist, my best friend, and my parents to join me for the event. Their presence made the evening even more enjoyable, and it was wonderful to share this experience with loved ones. The film itself was adorable, and I hope you enjoy the images from the screening as much as I enjoyed capturing them.
