Child Model Portfolio for Agencies
I recently had the pleasure of photographing a child model portfolio for agencies, specifically for a parent seeking the right photographer for her six-year-old son, who is aspiring to join a model agency in Miami. She drove over two hours just to work with me, which was incredibly flattering! When I asked her how she found me and why she chose my services, she mentioned that other photographers didn’t quite match her vision. She was looking for someone who could offer a unique approach and deliver high-fashion styled images.
After the session, she turned to me and said, “This was exactly how I imagined it would go!” I must admit, I don’t often work with children; my sessions are usually for clothing lines with an art director involved. This opportunity allowed me to have fun mixing staple shots that agencies typically request with some creative editorial captures.
It’s interesting to note that agencies often prefer the child to appear a bit more serious. Achieving this can be challenging, as kids can be either cranky or overly bubbly and happy. I aimed to find a balance, encouraging the child to be serious while also incorporating playful moments, like jumping and dancing. My dog was a great distraction, helping to make the child laugh and enjoy the session.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I look forward to more sessions like this. If you’re interested in booking a model portfolio shoot, please check out my Model page. You can also book online anytime during the week. This is my full-time profession, and my studio is located in Center City, Philadelphia. I also travel, so if you’re an agency reading this, I can come to you for sessions.
Additionally, I can bring along a wardrobe stylist and makeup artist to enhance the shoot. If you have friends with talented kids, we can arrange group sessions as well. Everything is possible!
I encourage you to book in advance to allow time for a consultation, where we’ll discuss what to bring, any makeup or wardrobe styling needs, and create a mood board to ensure we’re aligned on the desired looks.
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy this collection of images.
