Let’s face it, in todays world everyone is fighting for attention, filling up their social feeds with professional images in order to grab new buyers and followers. It can feel overwhelming at times, but let’s not forget to have fun and allow your personality to shine through. Ecommerce product photography should be fun and allow your audience to imagine themselves using your product. It should also draw attention, create wonder and stand out from the rest.
Yes I can photograph your products with and without models on white, but how about something a little different to throw into the mix. For this article I am showcasing images taken for Shenor Collections. Her website has a black background which emphasizes the colorful details. The makeup artist is also very attentive to details, which allows little to no retouching required. And the lighting on set is on point too, just take into account the way the model lit from around her head and shoulders, which prevents her from blending into the background. Also the catch light in her eye resembles the sun in the sky verses a square soft box. Attention to lighting and composition is no accident here.
