Model Portfolio Update

Recently, I had the pleasure of working on a model portfolio update for EWH Management featuring the talented Naae. After her recent transformation—losing 10 pounds—she was eager to refresh her look. Our session lasted nearly three hours, but it took her over an hour to get ready, during which she skillfully applied her own makeup.

Typically, model portfolio shoots involve a makeup artist or stylist, which can make the process smoother. However, in this case, we were operating on a test basis, where both the model and I exchanged our time and creativity. While I sometimes prefer having a makeup artist on set, this collaborative effort allowed us to adapt and create something beautiful.

As part of my preparation, I steamed all of Naae’s clothes to ensure they looked their best on camera. For this shoot, I opted for a dark gray background, which provided a perfect contrast to the outfits. I utilized a cookie for my optical snoot to add an interesting element to the background, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the images. I varied the poses, having her sit on the floor and move around to keep the energy lively and dynamic. It’s essential for models to stay active during sessions, as this not only creates more engaging images but also helps them break out of their comfort zones.

I’m thrilled with how the set of images turned out, and I even created a stop motion sequence that I believe would work wonderfully for a fashion catalog or lookbook, especially for email campaigns. Just imagine a clothing line showcasing beautiful models moving gracefully in their garments—there’s nothing quite like stop motion to capture attention and drive sales!

If you’re interested in a service like this, I offer online booking for stop motion, fashion catalog shoots, and lookbooks. For those who book a half-session (four hours) for a fashion catalog, I include one stop motion video to enhance your marketing campaign. Additionally, if you need access to exceptional models, I collaborate with agencies and can also recommend independent models from phillyfaces.com.

I’m always excited to work with new faces, whether they’re professional models from an agency or aspiring talent. If you’re not signed with an agency, I also offer model portfolio sessions tailored just for you.

Feel free to reach out with any questions or to discuss your project. I’m here to inspire, uplift, and help you showcase your unique self. Thank you for considering me for your creative needs, and I look forward to seeing you in the studio soon!
