Zen Morning Percussion

Each morning since my mentor Joe Chielli /  Founder of Church Street Studios, passed away early in 2017, I play this zen percussion drum and light a candle for him.  It helps me cope outside the obvious, keeping the photography business alive to continue his legacy.

Here’s a poem tribute for today for Joe.  Miss you buddy!

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am that swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.
