Historia Jumpsuit Fashion Editorial Photo Session
Historia Jumpsuit Fashion Editorial Photo Session, I used some items from my own wardrobe for these fabulous fashion models from MMA (Model Management Agency). The blue jumpsuit, worn by Inna P, I found in a vintage shop in Montreal and is made by Historia. I just adore this outfit. It fits me like a glove and to my surprise the model Inna P as well.
The other outfit, worn by model Ashley B, I found in a shop on south street in Philadelphia, which no longer exist and there’s no label on it. I just adore how these outfits came together to showcase 60’s / 70’s retro style that apparently has come back into fashion.
I know many photographers work with wardrobe stylist for editorial shoots. For me I find I have to do everything myself. I am always looking at vintage and consignment shops for my prop closet. It’s always wise to collect items overtime that inspire you. You never know when you will find the right model to work it on. If you do you can base your entire shoot around it and take it from there.
For this session I wanted the background to glow like light pastels around my models. I just adore how much they pop with the cityscape. I’ve taken mental notes overtime with other catalog shoots I see floating around the web or in print. Shadow depth of field helps cast the background like watercolored painted background. The shadows and natural bounce of light was all I needed too. Sometimes your surroundings provide what you need without any fancy expensive gear. However there is a time and place for that as well. For this session I used all natural light and the city as my stage.
I also want to thank my makeup artist Lisa Nocera, she did a fantastic job.
